From a nuclear lake to a haunted forest, New Zealand filmmaker and journalist David Farrier ('Tickled') visits unusual -- and often macabre -- tourism spots around the world.

Our small documentary crew set off across 8 different continents during 2017 to explore the world of Dark Tourism. We snuck inside the 'not safe to return' radioactive zone in Fukushima; we watched families unraveled corpses in South Sulawesi; got invited into the world of Voodoo during a sacrificial ceremony in Benin Africa, and marched with Santa Muerte (worshipers of death) in the most dangerous streets of Mexico City.
